So we split the characters up between 3 of us
Paul: Monkey Twins, Benji
Lauren: Octopus, Owl
Cricky: Bee, Dragon
Andrew: 3D Bedroom
You have seen what I have been doing, now I will let you see how the rest of the team are getting on.
Over the weekend, Cricky has been working away modelling Dexter, and he is looking brilliant! He just added a lambert to certain parts of the character, just to help show which part if which. He is very nearly finished Dexter, with just the wings to be added in.
Lauren has been working away on the Octopus and this is here update. Again, it is looking great and very near completion.
This is an image of 5 of the models (the other 2 are near complete). These are the final textures, however, the are the type of block colours that we will be using, however some of the models, like the octopus have a pattern to him.
Cricky has been working on the model of the Bee and she looks great!
Lauren has worked on the Owl and this is an unfinished model (the wings just need attached), but it is looking awesome.
Andrew has been working on the bedroom. He has done a lot of concept art for this so that when he finally started to model, he new exactly what it was he was looking at. We want a very childlike bedroom – something very similar to Boo’s from monster’s inc.
Once I had Benji modelled, I sent him of the Aimee after he had been approved. She created a basic rig, that can be applied to all the other models. She posted this video up of how the neck etc moves (the weights havent been painted on yet, so it doesn’t move perfectly)>
While the models have been completed, Aimee has been rigging the characters. Below is the update to date rig which will then be applied to each character and then a few wee tweeks will have to be made. She also created an animation control breakdown which is fantastic for us so we no what control controls what!
